  I currently serve as the Public Affairs/Visual Information Specialist (GS-12) for the Garrison at Fort Hamilton since December 2023. From January 2023 to December 2023, I concurrently served as the Interim Public Affairs Chief and Public Affairs Specialist.As the Interim Public Affairs Chief from January 2023 to December 2023, I advised the Garrison Commander and senior staff on all community and media engagement matters. I established and oversaw communication policies on all Public Affairs issues internally and externally related to Fort Hamilton as the sole active-duty Army installation in NYC.My current responsibilities include social media planning, content creation, website supervision, lead writing, videography, and photography. I work collaboratively with all Garrison departments, tenant units, local Federal, State and City partners, Installation Management Command, Department of Defense, and New York National Guard to drive engagement, grow our audience, and build community connections.As directed by the Deputy Garrison Commander, and Public Affairs Chief, I am responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing public affairs support for all installation organizations including community relations, media operations, information strategies, tenant and public liaison, legislative and government relations, and garrison social media.I identify and analyze the communication needs, concerns, and attitudes of various publics as they relate to the programs, policies and activities of the community and higher headquarters.
