      I was selected as one of only six pharmacists in the country to have the opportunity to participate in the Oncology Traineeship. It consisted of several months of coursework, two weeks on site at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, and then completion of projects and presentations at my home clinic, applying the skills that I learned during the onsite portion.

      Most recently, I developed the Research Pharmacy program at Novant Health Oncology Specialists. In addition, to further my experience in hematology and oncology, I was accepted into ASHP's Oncology Traineeship program, which included course work and two weeks on-site at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. I also staffed in our ambulatory clinic. By processing our medication orders for chemotherapy, I provided pharmaceutical care for our patients as part of our health care team. I was part of a team to develop Epic Beacon protocols for Novant Health and aid in our facility's transition to the new electronic medical record. In Spring 2014, I earned my Board Certified Oncology Specialist (BCOP) designation. * Developed the Research Pharmacist position, as I was the first person to hold this role at Novant Health Oncology Specialists* Created, integrated, and trained staff on research SOP's and educational materials as well as study-specific training* Responsible for ensuring that research protocols are carried out accurately, thoroughly, and with a high level of integrity* Staffed in our ambulatory clinic for hematology and oncology patients* Developed Epic Beacon protocols for clinic and research protocols, as part of team* Trained newer pharmacists in oncology and clinic supported policies Show less For two years, I held a clinical specialist role that had two major components, as well as a staffing portion.
