  This role was part of a one-day intensive educational field visit to the Marie Adelaide Leprosy Centre, where I:- Gained insights into the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation processes for leprosy patients, emphasising the integration of medical, social, and psychological care.- Participated in interactive sessions with healthcare professionals at the centre, discussing the latest advancements in leprosy research and the challenges of eradicating the disease in endemic regions.- Observed the centre's community outreach and education programs, understanding the importance of public awareness and early detection in controlling the spread of leprosy.- Learned about the centre's efforts in stigma reduction and the empowerment of individuals affected by leprosy, highlighting the role of social support and community engagement in patient rehabilitation.
