  Working for EPC contractor leading teams on various projects from detailed engineering into construction and commissioning in SAIL, RSP. Project -1- Basic Oxygen Furnace-III , SMS-II , RSP.Following a successful commissioning phases in slab caster-III, my management offered me the role of commissioning of BOF-III, GCP.Team comprises a group of project professionals each delivering their own area assignment.My role was to ensure execution of project on schedule with safety, without cost overrun, quality as well as innovation and talent focused leadership.Project scope covered mounting of instruments as per P&I Diagram , calibration, Hardwiring from field to RIO, FO & profibus connectivity from RIO to PLC , I/O checking and single function check as per the process automation scheme. Integrated commissioning of ventury, scrubber, ID fan, Hood cooling pump, Finfan cooler and SOS area.By end of the assignment I had acquired the skill and competency to handle instrumentation job independently.Project-2: Slab caster-III , SMS-II,RSP I am looking after the Electrics of water treatment plant -1 & 2 which feed water to machine cooling, roller cooling, and spray cooling of slab caster. I lead the cross functional team of owner Deptt. ,Execution agencies(M/s Voltas, M/s SMS Siemag) , 3rd party for witness , vendors in erection, testing and integrated commissioning of various HT & LT motors, Distribution transformers , HT & LT MCC & soft starters.At end of the assignment i had acquired the knowledge and technical competency to handle such type of job independently , Also imparted training to owner department people on trouble shooting and preventive maintenance. Show less Project-1: Looking after electrics of 700TPD oxygen plant (EPC contractor Lindey & BOCI)Scope of work comprises of commissioning of one 10 MW synchronous Motor with Auto transformer starting for Main air compressor, one 4 MW Synch. Motor with reactor starting for Booster air compressor and 2 Nos. of 3 MW Induction motor with FCMA starting for nitrogen Air compressor, ABB make soft starters & VFD drives for LT Motors. As commissioning of HT motors are new to me, I involved myself in testing and commissioning with ABB, Sweden Engineers, Lindey Engineers & owner department team. At the end of assignment, I had acquired the desired skill and expertise for commissioning of higher rating HT motors, VFD drives and soft starters.Project-2: Construction of 7 K.M, double circuit 132 KV transmission line from CPP-II to MSDS-III of RSP.My role is to co ordinate with the survey team in order to finalise the location of tower , monitoring of tower foundation work to ensure the desired quality , Supervise the erection of Tower as personal safety needed strict attention , Involve in stringing of conductor as it is a learning point for me. By end of the assignment, I had acquired the methodology and experience to handle transmission line projects independently.Project-3 : Commissioning of Oven Machine, Radio positioning system of oven machine in COB-1 of RSP.Involved in commissioning of Oven Machines.Leader in the team which had commissioned Guide car No-02.Imparted training to operators about operation and maintenance of Guide Car.Involved in commissioning of Radio positioning system of Oven Machines along with Siemens ,VAI,Finland Engineers.   Project-3: Commissioning of SCADA system for RSP power distribution substations and Generating stations.My role was to conduct the survey and finalise the route along with owner Deptt., and M/s L&T for FO cable laying between substations as it is a brown field project ,set up of Area control centers& Main control centers with servers, HMI, Erection of RTUs at various substations. Hook up of all Intelligent Electronics device( Numerical relays ,MFMs) with the RTUs in Mod bus, IEC61850 protocols and connecting with LAN as per the network architecture, Single function check of all IEDS , Integration of existing M/s Siemens SAS with M/s Honeywell SCADA with IEC 104 protocol, Integration with state grid SLCC in IEC 101 protocol and SLCC Kolkata in UDP , Incorporation of Load shedding , Islanding logic ,Maximum demand logic in SCADA , simulation and testing.I was a member of the Factory acceptance test witness team for SCADA system at M/s Honeywell premises , Pune along with representatives of consultant M/s Mecon & Owner Deptt.Project-4: Commissioning of Substation automation system (EPC contractor- M/s Siemens) for Main step down substations at RSP.Accountable for set up of four Area control centre with server, HMI and Gateway panel in different MSDSs (132KV/33kV S/S). Finalisation of Graphics & I/O lists of substations with Owner Deptt. And M/s Siemens. Hook up of all IEDs as per network architecture in Modbus, IEC 61850 protocols. Single function check with data acquisition & command test. Finalisation of archiving, Report generation formats. Lead the team comprising of Owner Deptt. , consultant & M/s Siemens to carry out the Site acceptance test (SAT) & Performance guarantee (PG) test. Show less Project-5: Erection, testing and commissioning of 220kv GIS (8DN9, 245kV), 8 Nos. of Bays. & 3 Nos. Of 160 MVA, 220kv/132kv Auto transformers at MSDS-IV, RSP.GIS is first of its kind in RSP.OEM is M/s Siemens (France) & EPC contractor is M/s Siemens (India). My responsibility is to co ordinate the team of M/s Siemens with consultant and owner department for smooth execution of the job. In this phase I associated myself fully in erection of bays, vacuum of compartments& SF6 gas filling using DILO machine, dew point and impurities checking of gas, functional check of switch gears from LCC , testing of CT,PT,CB using CMC 100 kit of OMICRON, checking of protection system & scheme. At last High voltage testing of GIS using Series Resonance test kit. At the end of assignment, our RSP team had established ourselves as GIS commissioning engineers, who are self sufficient to execute a GIS project along with EPC contractor ,vendor and consultant ,also can carry out the maintenance of GIS in future.Project-6: Erection, testing and commissioning of 33KV/6.6kv substations- 3 nos. With distribution transformers.(Pkg.-073 ,MVPDS ) at LBSS-IV,LBSS-VI & LBDS-X in RSP.My role was to lead the team of Agency M/s L&T ,Power distribution department ,ETS Department for timely execution of the project as it is urgently required to feed power to coke oven battery-6,sinterplant -3 and new coal handling plant. The substations comprises of Total 40 Nos. 33kv switch board, 130 Nos. 6.6 kV switch Boards, 5 Nos. 30 MVA ,33kv/6.6kv transformers ,station transformers, LT switch boards for station utilities. These 3 substations had been commissioned in a record time of 2 and half months of post Erection. By end of the assignment the team had established an enhance methodology & project delivery capability for challenging projects to execute on record time. Show less
