  Software Development Engineer

  I started my time at Scania with a trainee program with three different positions at different software development groups. At the first position, I was working on a solution for dynamically choosing test cases from a battery of tests ran nightly, to be run after submitting code during the day. At the second position I worked with development tasks for few internal Windows applications written in C#. At the final position I started to get into C coding, working on low level platform software.After the trainee program I started in my permanent position at the Powertrain Torque Control Software group where I worked with developing functionality for Scania products. These were implemented in C code as well as Simulink models, running on the control units for the engine and the gearbox. My role as a development engineer included not only developing the functions but also correlating them with physics, implementing it in code and models, testing both on unit, system and complete vehicle level, as well as writing documentation, both for future development and testing needs. This included a lot of cross-functional work with other development and supporting groups, as well as architects and the testing organization. Show less

  Software Engineer

  This role was an opportunity for me to step in from automobile to telecommunications industry by working with a renowned brand, G+D Mobile security. In my role as a software engineer, I develop micro-services deployed with Docker which are used within several different environments including Cloud, onsite and as a managed-service. This includes writing code in languages like GoLang, Kotlin and Java. My tasks also include writing tests, performing integration and end-to-end testing on production-like environments. Main product for our team is sim-cards, where we are responsible for handling and updating of files. Some of the customers we have been working with are mobile network operators like Bell and AT&T.
