I have learned of the skills of customer service, training new employees, and how to take on the adrenaline rush of being slammed. I will benefit greatly from this job because of the ability to have to adjust to many adversities and stressors that take place many times in each shift.

  Outside Services & Pro Shop Assistant

  At BCC, I worked in Outside Services, which entailed: being a Cart Boy, working bag drop, prepping and taking down the driving range, and many other miscellaneous tasks. I was also moved into the Pro Shop as a Pro Shop Assistant, where I worked the retail side of the golf club. This required me to manage inventory, manage money, manage orders, and regulate and run the various tournaments held at the course.

  Job Shadowing of Coaching Staff

  I got to spend a day with the Men's Basketball coaching staff during one of my high school's job shadowing days. Throughout the day I was able to sit down with coaches and learn their day-to-day activities, such as going through film using Sportscode and Synergy. I also learned of the operations side of the job, such as scheduling hotel rooms and flights. I ended the day off by getting to sit in a practice and watch how the coaches operated in different roles as practice progressed.

  At The Grove, I work the bag drop, am a cart boy, help replenish the driving range, and help with the membership. Through this job, I have learned the art of customer service and how making those connections with customers (members) can lead to fruitful relationships as time progresses.

  Aid the coaching staff and players with behind-the-scenes work to allow everyone in the program to focus on developing and winning. This ranged from doing the laundry to wiping up sweat at practice to cutting film for the coaches to view easier.- Worked with Synergy & Sportscode to edit and record practices and games to allow the team to identify areas to improve upon.- Practice preparation, assistance with allowing for practice to go without ripples.- Help with the expansion of recruiting base to states that were previously untouched, such as Tennessee & Michigan.- Organize managers to help practice and preparation get completed fully and smoothly. - Communicate needs from support staff to managers and make sure they are implemented.- Fill out CaraLogs for each week to make sure compliance hours are logged.- Utilize Synergy & Sportscode to identify and analyze potential recruits, scout upcoming opponents, & build videos of various teams assigned by staff.- Created Schedules for staff to be able to get on the road and watch recruits when we were not travelling in season.- Helped transport coaches to and from games for players that were actively being recruited.   Student Manager for Men's Basketball

  I have continued my development of becoming a college coach with the transferring from NKU to MTSU to be a manager. In this role at MTSU, I have helped with many things such as:- Identification of players currently in the Transfer Portal for the staff to target and recruit. - Expansion of teams for the Nick McDevitt Team Camp in the summer. - Working as Co-Commissioner for the Nick McDevitt Kid's camp, to ensure that each day went by without any wrinkles. - Cutting of film for recruits at various levels, for the staff to have the ability to gain quick information on potential prospects.- Compiling schedules from all Division I Junior College teams, along with top teams at Division II and Division III, for the staff to have easy access to who, when, and where in JUCO recruiting. - Working on the court in drills to help simulate more game-realistic situations to better prepare the players. - Compiling schedules from High Schools in Tennessee and all bordering states that have players of interest or high caliber, so that the staff has easy access to know when games were taking place. - Scouting specific aspects of upcoming opponents.- Live coding and cutting film during both practice and games to allow for the staff to have quick access to organized film.
