    • Enterprise Community Partners

      Jan 2017 - Jun 2018

My goal was to increase the capacity of Santo Domingo to address cultural and climate resiliency issues in their community. I worked to ensure compliance on a FEMA Public Assistance grant, reviewing FEMA policy and leveraging funding for the project. I eventually shifted focus to hazard mitigation in the Santo Dominto community to prevent further damages from flooding and severe storms. I linked together housing, cultural preservation, and climate resiliency through grant writing, resource leveraging, and community connection. Show less

I managed data delivery to the CDC, ensuring that our data is entered in a correct and timely manner. My role included maintaining our program budget and ensuring program growth through outreach and coordination with local CBOs, non-profits, government orgs, clinics, and private businesses to establish new program sites. I lead a team of 5 certified Lifestyle Coaches to assist in these efforts. My primary goal was to coordinate efforts within and outside of the MDPP to increase the health in all residents of WNC, with a specific focus on reducing health disparities and addressing social determinants of health.
