      Remediation project of the Poudre River in Fort Collins, Co. Supervised 20 employees and the activities at this federally funded restoration project. Activities included but were not limited to by-pass pumping of; Excavation of 50,000 tons of coal tar impacted soil, sediment and rock from the river bed, and installation of 750 feet of PVC sheet pile cut-off wall, 30 feet deep into the riverbank to prevent future contaminant migration into the river. Work also included construction of water treatment system to handle construction dewatering, and 24-hour, 7-day per week manning of four large by-pass pumps, with 100 cfs capacity, to handle river flow around the work area. Project budgeted at $3.2 million, with the final contract amount at $4.0 million. Show less

      High Island to Rollover Pass Placement Area and Levee Repairs and Improvements project was a dredge spoil area restoration and expansion project for four areas located in the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (GIWW) in Texas USACE Galveston District. The project involved the dewatering, excavation and placement of dredge spoils on the islands for the rehabilitation and expansion of exterior berms, demolition of existing out fall structure’s, the construction of a new out fall structures, shoreline restoration and armoring, debris removal and other miscellaneous tasks to restore the islands post Hurricane Ike and prepare the islands for future dredge projects. Other incidental construction activities included the establishment and management of environmental controls, clearing and grubbing, stripping and site restoration. The purpose of the project was to increase the capacity for dredge spoils on future dredge projects along this corridor of the GIWW. Show less
