      Volunteered on a Department for International Development (DFID) funded livelihoods project in Prasat Sambour village, CambodiaFundraised £1500 prior to volunteering with VSO, partially by running a half marathon.Member of the teams focusing on Employability and Debrief, Monitoring and Evaluation. Delegated tasks and ensured key goals were met within these sub teams.Did door to door surveys around local neighbourhoods to work out the needs of the community. Led workshops of 30-40 young people, including those with disabilities, and received excellent feedback.Wrote up activity reports, case studies, risk assessments, cash requests and handover notes. Arranged a trip to a nearby Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) centre with 25 Cambodian students and disabled adults.Took minutes at team meetings. Often proofread documents. Campaigned at local schools for awareness on climate change. Researched the UN Sustainable Development Goal 'Life Below Water', including Cambodian attitudes towards it, for a 2-hour presentation, after which a new recycling system was implemented in the VSO office.Creatively communicated with Cambodian host family, despite the huge language barrier.
