      • Appointed through a competitive process as EU Careers Ambassador, acting as a point of contact for NUI Galway students interested in EU Careers • Researched target groups and contacted university media, deliver presentations, attend university career events and organise relevant guest speakers • Completed monthly tasks and regularly reported back on activities to support team in Brussels • Managed and regularly monitored a dedicated Facebook page / online presence • Liaised with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, chiefly the Department of the European Union • Held an event with Minister for European Affairs Helen McEntee (October 17). The event allowed for discussions on EU careers and the future of Europe (Positive response and interest from students across all disciplines including political science, law, languages, engineering and health sciences) • Coordinated a weekly EU careers consultation room. The consultation room offers students a walk in service to drop by once a week and discuss tailored EU career opportunities.• Organised a display and spoke on European Mobility, through Eurolink and their annual campaign ‘Time to Move 2017’. Discussed personal experience of European mobility including Erasmus in Belgium and current position promoting EU careers • Partook in an online careers fair coordinated by EPSO.
