      After Graduating High School, I had the unique opportunity to travel to Japan and study Japanese as an international student through the International Student Program in School District 62. This was a formative experience and lead to further experiences with Japanese and the decision to study Japanese academically in university.

Experience tutoring Spanish and Japanese. Currently focusing on teaching academic English including IELTS and TOEFL IBT.

      Assistant Language Teacher

      Taught over 2000 students long-term in two academic high schools and one special needs school (K-12). Co-coordinated, developed, and organized Yufuin Seminar, the biggest English-related event in Oita with over 200 students and 20 ALT's in 2013. Received a prestigious award for efforts undertaken while teaching in Japan by the Governor of Oita Prefecture on national television. Currently still in association with the Japanese government in an official capacity as an overseas correspondent.

      Taught eighteen one-week long English language camps to Elementary and Middle School students for the Daejeon Board of Education. The camps were finely choreographed events which taught English to specially selected students from public schools all over Daejeon. Team leader for the development of four 60-100 page textbooks for the 2016 season. Developed and constantly improved upon the teaching materials to maintain a smoothly-running camp.

      Worked in an on-call basis, effectively teaching various ages, abilities and needs. Responsible for the development and enrichment of lesson plans and evaluation of students in accordance with Inlingua Victoria's curriculum. Hired as a full-time ESL teacher and morning event coordinator during the Summer Youth and Teen camps. Responsible for coordinating events of up to 100 people. Taught classroom of up to 25 ELL high school students from various backgrounds as homeroom teacher. Hired as a homeroom teacher for the TOEFL IBT Preparation course. Responsible for preparation of all materials, testing, and evaluation of the students. Chaperoned for a variety of after-school events including: the Royal Victoria Museum, whale watching, Vancouver, and the Buchart Gardens.
