  I worked at Lost and Found Unit at the Passenger Service at Changi Airport after school first as Operation Assistant and subsequently promoted to Passenger Services Officer. My role is to take charge of the front counter and led a team of Operation Assistants. The function of this unit is to investigate, trace and restore the mishandled luggage back to the passengers by using a worldwide airline baggage tracing system.One significant unforgettable moment is the involvement of Care party to support the SQ117 hijacking case to render assistance to passengers after being rescued and released.   I was responsible for the flight desk which ensured that our dedicated air ambulance ( Falcon 200 / Hawker 800 XP / Beechcraft 1900 ) was always on operation ready status 24 x 7. These included flight crews scheduling , coordination of maintenance schedule , flight dispatching, securing of overfly and landing permits and ground handling arrangement and ensure compliance of all CAA regulations. I liaised with charter brokers, airline charter department on the availability of narrow or widebody aircrafts in the event of mass medical or security evacuation is warranted. I work closely with the Regional Security Unit and consulted them on aviation related matter during critical phase of security evacuation. I was involved in the following unfortunate events that took place during my service with the company. - Riot at Indonesia / Charter flights bringing out - Advance party of Silk Air crash at Palembang on site for progress reporting.- Coordination of chartered C130 and air ambulance for Bali bombing casualties. - Forward party team for supporting Singapore Airlines SQ6 crashed at Taipei alarm centre. - Coordination of air ambulances for J W Marriott Jakarta bombing mass medical evacuation.I started as Medical Desk Coordinator first at than AEA International Alarm Centre before my secondment over to Flight Desk after obtaining my company sponsored FAA Flight Dispatcher. My role as Medical Desk Coordinator is to receive medical and security related assistance call worldwide and together with Doctor on call to arrange for the best medical care to our subscribers or corporate customers ranging from fixing appointment with specialist to arrange for road ambulance and commercial medicav and Air ambulance medicav for more serious cases . Other tasks includes preparation of case file for morning panel briefing , coordination with various agencies including MPA and Air Force for chopper medicav that involve sick ship crew back to shore for medical care.   I began my career in World Fuel Services starting from the position of Sales Support cum Flight Operation Specialist. As the company was operating with limited manpower then, I was multi-tasking in various areas including but not limited to customer relationship management, supplier relationship management, contract administration, operation, fuel arrangement for commercial airlines and business aviation sales. The varied roles has given me lots of exposure and better understanding of the whole downstream fuel sales business.I am a qualified FAA Certified Flight Dispatcher and was one of the pioneer team members to expand the International flight planning services business ( ITPS)in this region for the Asia based business aviation owners.I was subsequently promoted to Sales Executive doing fuel sales and ITPS and worked my way up through rank and file. Currently I am holding the title of Sales Manager, Commercial Aviation Sales . I am assigned to develop commercial airlines fuel sales handling full service carriers, low cost carriers , charter operators , private airlines etc in Asia Pacific region. Show less
