  I took over running Weatherford Drilling International – Australia, following a fatality and changed the culture and productivity of the company by improving competency, strengthening Safe Operating Procedures and Policies, reducing staff turnover, implementing a training and development programme, safety support programme, leadership and mentoring programme and taking zero tolerance approach to poor safety behaviour. With innovative and solutions-based sales and marketing, I secured our position as the Australian market leader in geothermal energy services by establishing a Rig Club that enabled potential operators to utilize multi-million-dollar plant and equipment that would otherwise have been outside the capacity of their companies. This also opened the way to the provision of integrated services previously not available in Australia. I recommended acquisition of a complementary company that would give us an access to the emerging Coal Seam Gas market and managed the implementation of policies and procedures to achieve an harmonious merger.
