  With the reverse migration happening from urban to rural areas, where thousands of migrant workers were left unemployed by the sudden lockdown resulting from COVID-19 situation, we as volunteers at Azim Premji University were expected to make sure that the migrant workers that have returned home are getting benefits of government schemes like Mgnrega, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana etc. We were supposed to call them and guide them, sometimes through our contacts for them to avail their entitlements in these tough times.
