These were two 52'​ Tractor trailers that housed an IBM Mainframe, communications equipment, Hard drives and Tape media, and operators console. Marines would deploy with these to active zones and provide onsite computer data for the fleet. MOS training-Hands on Education to prepare the Marine for operating and maintaining the computer and systems used by the Marine Corps. Eventually the project became so big that GTE was awarded the follow on contract an the Army established the Defense Information Systems Agency out of the older Defense Communication Agency the the project started under.
