Designing process solutions for chemical pulp mills, drawing mill layouts, pre-engineering of new plants and modifications to old plants. Working mainly with improving work methods, improving planning and execution of planned shut downs together with the daily and long-term management tasks. Implemented work patterns to support our long-term strategy for improved maintenance. This includes implementation of a new web-based system for asset management and purchasing and a strong focus in preventive maintenance. Show less Integration projects with Korsnäs Frövi mill. Focusing on production, maintenance together with finding and capitalizing on best practices. Projects targeted board machine operation where tail threading and getting into quality after web breaks were in focus. We we able to improve production (OEE) with more than 2 percent unit per machine, PM4 and PM5.I also headed a project aimed at improving maintenance work patterns, focusing on planned shutdowns. The project established standards still used in the company. The results from these projects led to my next assignment as Maintenance Mgr for the fiber production part of the pulp mill. Show less

      We reorganized our maintenance organisaton to better support different types of work orders. One group handles all the corrective maintenance and other groups handle the planned maintenance (PM) as well as projects.My group takes care of all PM for the entire mill. For that purpose we have one mechanical department , one automation department and one department focusing entirely on condition monitoring both for mechanical and automation equipment. There is also a group of availability engineers focusing on root cause analysis and the preventive maintenance program etc. In total we are 82 persons.We came to this solution after a few years struggling to come to terms with interrupted week schedules leading to TOO MUCH CORRECTIVE maintenance and TOO LITTLE of the more important PREVENTIVE maintenance. Show less Responsible for maintenance in the Board Mill of the Gävle production facility comprising two liquid packaging board machines i.e. PM4 and PM5 and one drying machine, TM6. Maintenance also includes roll handling and wrapping of the finished products. Member of the Board Mill management team. Totally around 60 employees divided in mechanical, automation and production service personnel. Our aim is to always provide for a high technical availability by using high quality maintenance together with cost-effective methods.Working on improving work preparation and planning together with strengthening our focus on preventive maintenance. The latter by increasing PM manhours, using more objective measuring instruments and changing the way we plan and perform our round strategies.Parallel to this, I also headed the PM part of the TPM initiative in the mill.       The two Realibility Groups in the mill, one in the Pulp Mill and one in the Board Mill, were formed to improve the total availability of the production and to lower the increasing cost of maintenance. Also to act as a link between production and centralized maintenance.I am responsible for the Board Mill reliability. The role includes budgeting and follow-up of fixed maintenance costs, investment planning and the long term maintenance plan (typically named 5 year plan). The group consists of two technicians, a reliability engineer and myself. So, a small focused team. The role also includes being Deputy Manager of the Board Mill and being member of the Board Mill management team. The group managed to take costs back to budgeted levels after high costs the first half of 2016. This was done in close cooperation with the production managers and technicians and the tools have been mainly better prioritizing and better scheduling and hence less external resources. Show less
