  I designed print, web, and brand assets for Brock Denys, CEO of Sunbaked Software Corporation. Services provided include graphic design, vector design, website design, copywriting, PHP/MySQL, and SEO. During my time at Sunbaked Software I was able to develop my design skills across a range of applications and gain important experience working within a software development team.

  As Creative Director for Indigo Rose I supported multiple thriving software titles with 360 degree design services. From UI/UX and technical manuals to websites and multimedia assets all my time was spent supporting Setup Factory, AutoPlay Media Studio, TrueUpdate, Visual Patch, and Scrapboox MAX!. It was a rapid paced environment with highly productive teammates and project timelines. CEO Colin Adams gave me complete freedom to pursue excellence in my design and marketing ideas. We worked very fast and often had to develop new methods to accommodate the volume and scope of work. I created thousands of commercial layout templates and template design assets that are still in use to this day. Primary duties were graphic design, product design, print manual design, copywriting, online support, website design, PHP/MySQL, photography, video production, SEO, and Flash design (Macromedia then Adobe). Working with Indigo Rose was a very positive professional experience for me and I proudly continue to provide contract design work for them to this day. Show less

  I instructed classrooms in all aspects of web design, from conception and design to maintenance and SEO. I taught students the rudiments of UI/UX design, web hosting, and site management We constructed basic websites from scratch, and learned how to launch and maintain them. I learned a lot from this role, i.e. how to connect with people to accelerate their objectives even at times when they might feel frustrated with technology — and those lessons have served me well assisting design clients ever since. Technology can be overwhelming, effective teaching is not only about conveying data, it's also about connecting with each person in the way they learn best and ensuring that the data is presented in a matching format that helps them succeed.   Primary role was maintaining a weekly full page ad in the Calgary Herald was well as other print advertising and in-store signage. Each week I would select and photograph a range of market products, edit the photos, and layout ads in Adobe Indesign. I added a number of innovations to their in-house process including the use of templates, blue screen, and more. CNF is an amazing team of passionate people, and I learned a lot in this role especially about budgets and vendor relationships.

  I shot video of operations at Westcon Precast which included some 4 storey height crane work. I did time lapse as well as regular footage of carious operations in their yard, and edited the project for usage at trade shows and on social media.

  I executed a successful re-brand, from logo and colors to signage and print assets, I was able to get it all re-designed and approved in just a few months. Tykans is a technology company but their biggest asset is the amazing people, and I'm deeply grateful that I got to be the one to re-brand them. Tools used were the Adobe Suite tools in addition to MS Office. I also photographed greenscreen portraits of the entire team for their update branding package and created web and video content.

I worked closely with CEO Clint Undseth to help re-shape their vision and product offerings for more effective outcomes to their objectives. I re-designed their logo and colours, created a brand new website, print collateral, video assets, and content — also creating new direction for their marketing and communications that puts HSS on track for 2021.In addition, I created a suite of products such as HSS Advantage and HSSynergy to add clarity and relevance for clients seeking the higher level of service HSS offers. I also did SEO and created a strong, flexible foundation for any type of digital marketing — which can also integrate directly into their CRM and other tools.
