  Assisting the team of 13 elected officers with their roles and campaigns. Also, taking lead on projects including the student allotment "Dig In" project, the 2012 Olympics "Be a Champion" project, and various events and instalments to celebrate the University's 21st birthday. Assisted with University Open days, Union Surgery sessions, and other key Union promotions throughout the year (Elections, NSS, etc).

  - Empowering the Advice and Representation team to perform to a high standard, meeting the established objectives.- Mentoring the Vice President Education and supporting student-led initiatives, such as the Safety Net proposal.- Ensuring the effectiveness of both the Advice Centre and Student Experience Representative (SER) system, through review practices and feedback routes for students and staff.- Producing insight reports for staff and officers and creating proposals to affect change and improve services for students.- Contributing to the strategic and financial decisions of the Union, including the discussion and mapping of the 2021 strategic plan.- Following good sector practice for the department, such as maintaining up to date GDPR requirements for Advice Centre casework.- Liaison with third party stakeholders to develop the approach to Unacceptable Behaviour at University of Chester. These include academic processes, housing, budgeting, and reporting incidents.- Representation at student meetings, ensuring procedures are followed and students have the best understanding of how to present themselves.- Management of min. 2 elections processes per year in the Spring and Autumn terms, and involvement in training the new elects.- Recruitment, training and supervision of the Red Tee volunteers team for Warrington campus.- Organisation and implementation of sustainability initiatives within the Union, and supporting University initiatives.- Event management for key calendared events, i.e. Accommodation Fair, Freshers week activities, etc. Show less

  Advice and Response manager for safeguarding, gender-based violence and hate.Key duties include:- Management and empowerment of the advice and response caseworker team, working with them to meet their objectives and personal goals.- Active casework and investigation of complex cases and cases of sexual misconduct.- Proactive campaigns, training and resource production in the areas of harassments and sexual misconduct.- Project lead in collaborative team addressing the OfS Statement of Expectations on harassment and sexual misconduct- Development of service data and reporting streams, producing improved data and insight reports quarterly.- Development of A&R's digital communications and new website space.
