As a member of the Promotions Team at WICB, I helped to make the station more noticeable and get the name out there. I helped at events where we volunteer, and I also went to concerts with press passes to take pictures of the show and to hopefully meet the artist and have them interviewed for WICB. Our events at Applefest are always a success, where we have a stand and engage the community in fun games and performances. I also got a chance to meet reggae artist, Matisyahu, with a press pass from WICB. This last semester that I was involved, we organized a Toy Drive during November 2016. Show less

As the Technical Assistant for Newswatch, I was the technical producer for all three half hour live shows during the week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. In the beginning of the semester I chose all the crews for Newswatch, as well as aide in hiring the journalistic crews. I was foremost responsible for teaching my three technical assistants how to technically produce a half hour live news show. I was responsible for being in the News Room from 12:00 pm in the afternoon to the end of the show, usually around 8:00 pm. I reviewed all reporter packages, and made sure all pre-production work was running on schedule and is quality work. This included working and perfecting my skills on Adobe Premiere and Photoshop. I also helped take out equipment for the studio, as well as set up the studio. I made sure everything was running smoothly, and helped people if they needed anything or had technical questions. I helped to critique the show, and then broke down at the end. At the end of the semester I helped the News Director to make a show proposal and pick new content and technical producers for the following semester. This has been one of the most rewarding jobs of my college experience. Show less As Entertainment Director, I oversaw ICTV’s various entertainment shows along with coordinating and aiding ICTV entertainment producers. My duties included overseeing the production of all ICTV entertainment shows, to help producers train their cast/crew members at the beginning of each semester, to create new ideas and improvements to keep up with the progression of ICTV, and to lead weekly meetings with each show to go over critiques. Other duties of mine included working with the Digital Media Manager to enforce strict episode submission deadlines, to act as a resource to all entertainment show producers to provide assistance and support when needed, and to ensure cohesive and professional broadcasts for all entertainment programming on ICTV. Above all I acted to serve as member of the ICTV executive staff: participate in meetings, discussions, duties, and decisions of the executive staff.
