I jointly ran the Specimen Reception & Dissection areas of the Dept of Cellular Pathology, championing Lean and 5S as models to improve the service. I provided business intelligence to the Directorate of Medicine within Newcastle Hospitals, under the direct supervision of the Directorate Manager. Projects included investigating Length of Stay, performance of wards and services under tight staffing pressures, and 30-day readmissions targets.
