      PMC Director of Project Controls – Ma’aden Aluminum Complex (2010-2013)Ma’aden Aluminum Complex Director of Project Controls for the Program Management Consultant (PMC). This is a $10.7 billion dollar aluminum complex in Saudi Arabia. Scope includes a Smelter, Rolling Mill, Integrated Infrastructure, Mine, and Refinery. The project executed over 170 million craft hours. There are multiple interfaces with Montreal, Brisbane, Greenville, New Delhi, Beijing, Khobar, Seoul, and Raz al Khair. Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly reporting on this project is very robust as there are multiple funding sources/banks involved. The Project Controls team achieved perfect 10 scores from client on Key Performance Indicator score card for Project Controls and Risk Management for 18 consecutive months (2012-2013).Specific Role Description is as follows:Direct Reports – PMC project controls resourcesFunctional Project Controls Responsibility – All project controls resources throughout the program ~65.Establishes and provides all cost management, estimating, planning and scheduling, risk management procedures processes and methodologies as well as relevant reporting for the program.Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:• Overall program executive reporting (sub project roll-up).• Program-wide cost diagnostics and weekly KPI reporting• Deliver the overall weekly/monthly/quarterly reports to the client Executive Director for onward distribution to the JV Partners and Investors.• Development and management of risk programs in accordance with Owner requirements across the overall program.• Conducts sub project health checks as required.• Defines sub projects reporting requirements, procedures, and standards across the program• Monitors all sub project costs and schedule status Show less Functional Leader of Project Controls for the Power SBU and Cost Center Manager.       Responsible for Project Management/Oversight and Project Controls assigned tasks for the Power Division. This includes Project Management Business line support that includes division reporting, Planning and Scheduling, Cost, and reporting functions on all Power projects. The role also includes resource management as well as training of employees. In addition to the functional role I was responsible for developing and submitting major scope changes over 500MM USD on a 5 unit 2,700 MW super critical project in Saudi Arabia. As part of the leadership team my role also included being contractually named as a Samsung steering committee member on a 3 billion USD power project in Saudi Arabia. During my tenure at Samsung, there were 10 power projects ranging from simple cycle, combined cycle, and coal (sub and super critical) totaling over 6 billion in revenue. Projects are located in Chile (1), Mexico (3), Saudi Arabia (5), and Kazakhstan (1).
