  Created a unified pool naming system for the F5 load balancing platform that included information from Service Now, CMDB, and DNS lookup. Analyzed 2000 pools, determined the associated application ID code, and followed a naming standard to rename each pool. Engineers will now be able to correlate the work they do with the applications using the F5, communicate better with the application owners, and understand the demands of F5 for load balancing services.Populated small scripts called irules to log information to Splunk. Examined over 1000 VIPs to make sure they contain the correct irule and filled in any gaps. This ensured that all VIPs are properly logging transactions. Organized network monitoring plans for Riverbed's NetIM to create consistent monitoring playbooks.
