  How important chemicals like ethylene & propylene are produced by cracking of naphtha along with their purification was studied in university but seeing it as an actual operation of plant was worth learning. Internship at naphtha cracking plant was more about livng a professional life. Applying engineering skills in the field allowed me to develop as a chemical engineer. Gaining extra knowledge from industry professionals strengthened my core skills.Understanding Yokogawa pannel to operate plant, analysing critical parameters of heat exchanger and distillation column, safety aspects of industry, cost estimation, statutory documents required for industry, etc were among the key technical things which I learnt during internship. As a whole it was a great experience. Show less
