  Management Trainee/Junior Site Engineer

  Working for one of Malaysia’s principle property developers, I was able to gain valuable work, social and cultural experience during my time overseas. I spent six months working within the design department; obtaining general BIM knowledge, completing 2D and 3D CAD models, co-ordinating design, quantity extraction for BQ and liaising with external project consultants. For the second half of the year I was posted on site as a Site Engineer. Principle activities included managing and monitoring Structural, Architectural and M+E trades, conducting inspections, production of weekly progress reports for senior management, maintaining HSSE regulations, co-ordinating sub-contractors and providing technical solutions.This year qualifies me for a DIS3 (Diploma in Industrial Studies), which I shall receive upon graduation.   As Design Manager at AECOM, I worked amongst a talented team of young professionals providing specialist design management and monitoring services to wide range of clients. I worked collaboratively within design teams, handling and overseeing the management of the design process. This approach allowed our clients to focus on what they do best - Design.Projects I was fortunate to be involved with include an exclusive holiday complex development in the Adriatic, an ambitious higher education scheme throughout Central Asia and large infrastructure project in Riyadh.   Completion and handover of the 80 Charlotte Street scheme, construction phase design and package management at The Broadway project and currently leading the Design Management team on the 65 Davies Street project. I worked as Design Coordinator on the 80 Charlotte Street project, delivering the residential blocks within the scheme.This role calls upon my passion and eye for detail as well as technical intrigue and experience for detailing of architectural systems. In addition, my interpersonal and communication skills are also crucial in ensuring effective subcontractor engagement and liaison.
