  Stores: I generated and picked orders from many different products, including parts for transformers, wire, poles, safety equipment and safety attire for the journeymen. I also counted the stock that Enersource has in their warehouse, to be sure all product is there and in the right locations. Correspondingly, I helped receive and stock product from our suppliers in an organized fashion for maximum efficiency. I also made site deliveries, if additional product is needed to complete the job. Additionally I managed the "Free Shelf" in our warehouse at Enersource. This has many different items and materials that the journeymen will need to help complete their job.Facilities: At facilities I was considered to be a "jack of all trades." Many different and general tasks such as repairing drywall, cutting grass, painting, hedge trimming, and other tasks if needed. Show less

  Learning how to effectively operate and finely tune my analytical skills in diagnosing present and future complications that could occur in the steam, heating, and chilling equipment in Central Utilities Plant. This is done by working with four 1907 bhp Foster Wheeler watertube boilers that generate steam to heat up water to generate heat for Toronto Pearson Airport. We also utilize chillers and heat exchangers for free cooling to cool the Airport as well.

  Our team and I monitor steam pressures across the plant to ensure the different processes have enough steam for their processes​ in creating products. Daily duties consist of operating critical systems, making rounds throughout the plant, monitoring MISA stations to ensure these is no chemical leaks into the environment, and operating the waste water treatment process and the Upper Aquifer Treatment (groundwater). We are responsible for treating two million US gallons/day of the groundwater systems and above ground aquifers in our treatment plant to clean Elmira's water. This involves working in conjunction with the Ministry of the Environment. Show less
