      My responsibilities were for all aspects of repair and maintenance of the town owned recreation facility,transfering to the historical public libraries. My first objective was to research design and implement a Preventative Maintenance Program. After which I was able to reduce downtime by 80% and spending by 40%. A lighting retrofit program I developed was projected to save an additional 40% per year on energy costs. I was responsible for safety and security, a yearly departmental budget of approximately. $180,000 and long-range capital improvement plans. I assisted in research and development of plans for a $1.2 million renovation project at the town owned recreation center and recently completed work on a $290,000 project to restore the exterior surfaces, roof and bell tower of a 18th century R.I. former State House building now used as a public library. I have the ability to take charge and get the job done. I pride myself in the proper care of these history filled properties and their continued service to the community. In 2004 we completed an addition to our Middletown,R.I. property where I was part of most of the day-to-day decision making and consulting. In 2006 we completed an exterior renovation to our Newport Beach property,while we were open for the season.This then lead to an internal renovation in 2007 and ground breaking of a new facility. I was responsible for of a $300,000 yearly budget. I was also responsible for the safety and security of our staff and guests. I was licensed to operate the pool and spa facility Both Tesa, (Onity) and Kaba electronic locking devices for the guest rooms were used at both hotels. Ptac's we maintained were by GE and Amana.
