  Development Engineer

  I am currently a development engineer in the Composite Centre of the AMRC Sheffield. I specialise in dry fibre technology research, with extensive experience and knowledge in 3D weaving on our Jacquard and dobby looms, as well as 'fibre embroidery' with our tailored fibre placement (TFP) machine, and braiding technology. Materials used in these technologies range from carbon and glass to ceramics and recycled materials, and projects I have been involve with work on developing cutting-edge technologies, processes, and materials. In my current role, I manage various projects in dry fibre, in which I am able to design woven, braided, and TFP preforms, manufacture them, and then test and analyse the results. I also have experience in developing smart materials, RTM, and DoE.I am an excellent team-player with a proactive and enthousiastic attitude, but also have effective leadership and project management experience.
