      May 2016 - Jun 2017
      Marketing Intern

I created and employed marketing strategies to increase the notoriety of an app designed to help Washington State residents navigate the inconsistent Washington State Department of Transit ferry schedule. Some of the projects that I worked on included the graphic design of the company and the app's business card, management of all social media accounts, flyering and tabling in public to increase awareness, as well as employing simple word of mouth strategies.

I analyzed video records of previously conducted experiments regarding power dynamics, expectations and prejudice and coded the data. This data was used by Graduate Students to formulate conclusions for their research.

      Jun 2020 - Dec 2020

Initially hired as a marketing intern, I ended up working with the Marketing team, UI/UX team, and Product team. On the UI/UX team, I assisted in developing Kano Method survey questions, conducting user interviews, and analyzing the resulting data through Tableau, Google Sheets, and Python code that I wrote. Using all of this, I created a representative visualization of this information, which was used by the leadership team to inform their decision regarding a new product direction during a full company pivot caused by Covid-19. On the product team, I conducted an AB test in Google Optimize, migrated the user groups to Mixpanel with Python code that I wrote, and wrote a statistical analysis of the data to recommend the adoption of the treatment. On the marketing team, I developed Customer Personas and researched and cataloged keywords for Search Engine Optimization. I also conducted two separate pain point reports, one of which regarded advertisement targeting, and the other an analysis of competitive platforms and their user bases. Show less

I modeled the pipeline of data from a motion capture suit, sent as UDP from a local machine, through a Websocket requested and established using Node.js and Express.js to an external server, and ultimately to a client. With the data received on the front end, my team and I plan to use it as a low latency input to modulate elements of an audio-visual performance, accessed through the virtual exhibition platform, newart.city.

      May 2021 - Aug 2021
Business Intelligence Engineer Intern (Summer 2021)

I worked on the Amazon Fresh Stores Marketing Analytics team with the overarching goal of creating a Tableau dashboard to represent customer satisfaction survey responses in conjunction with their purchase data. In order to achieve this, I manipulated and joined 5 different tables in SQL utilizing temporary tables, self joins, pivots, and various forms of aggregation wherein some of the tables had millions of rows and terabytes of data stored. I also familiarized myself with the Qualtrics platform and API. I operationalized this query using an ETL manager, and connected the output to a Tableau dashboard, which I designed in accordance with the requirements of various end users/stakeholders (pricing and category managers). I used Jupyter Notebooks throughout my internship to write Python scripts that assisted me with EDA, model creation and data cleaning (In terms of modelling, I primarily employed Latent Dirichlet Allocation for topic modeling of long-form customer response fields to provide guidance to users for wildcard filters in my dashboard). Despite the challenges of onboarding to a massive company with a daunting scale and a very hands-off approach, I managed to consistently complete deliverables ahead of, or on schedule and implement bar-raising features both in the backend/data engineering aspect as well as the frontend/dashboard user experience Show less
