      Key Responsibilities: Project planning, coordination and management. Provided technical advice and training to implementing partners. Generated project reports on timely basis to donors. Offered leadership, coaching and professional and technical support to Project Officers.Key Accomplishments: October 2008 – September 2011 -Led the design and implementation of a maternal and child survival project dubbed Community Initiative on Maternal Newborn and Child Survival (CIMACS) Project.  September 2007 – December 2008 -Led the design of Child Under nutrition Intervention dubbed Integrated Nutrition Action Against Malnutrition (INAAM) Project. 1. Piloted the use of Ready-to Use therapeutic foods (Plumpy Nut) in the rehabilitation of over 5,000 undernourished children at both the facility (Nutrition Rehabilitation Centers) and in 108 communities for the community-based management of child under nutrition. INAAM contributed experience, lessons learned and best practices as well as guidelines and tools to inform the development of CMAM (Community-based management of acute malnutrition) Project currently implemented by Ghana Health Services2. Piloted the use of Positive Deviance/Hearth strategy in the prevention, management/rehabilitation of child under nutrition at the community level. The first successful large scale implementation of PD/Hearth strategy in Ghana September 2007 – December 2008 – In addition to the coordination of INAAM, I supervised 8 program officers to implement a USAID funded Food Assisted Child Survival (FACS) Program in 212 communities across 10 districts as well as 18 Focus Nutrition Rehabilitation Centers of the Upper East, Upper West and Northern Regions of Ghana.       As a Chief of Party, I provide the vision and overall leadership to the program team. These include:responsible for overseeing the overall management of the project including the quality of programmatic implementation (including monitoring, evaluation and learning) and administrative elements of the project, including the coordination of all consortium partners, and monitoring the budget; serving as the primary point of contact to USAID as well as public, private and non-government stakeholders. He/she is responsible for ensuring compliance with USAID grants including oversight of partner budgets, finance and administration, and reporting to USAID as well as ensuring that project results are achieved on time and on budget, including strategies for phase out and sustainability; and that the budget is consumed as planned. Show less As the Program Manager for Health, I coordinate, manage and provide leadership for the implementation of ongoing programs as well as leading business development to grow CRS Ghana health portfolio. Strategically, I support capacity enhancement in technical areas including Health, Nutrition and Water and Sanitation.
