Offered leadership, coaching and professional and technical support to Project Officers.Key Accomplishments: October 2008 – September 2011 -Led the design and implementation of a maternal and child survival project dubbed Community Initiative on Maternal Newborn and Child Survival (CIMACS) Project. September 2007 – December 2008 -Led the design of Child Under nutrition Intervention dubbed Integrated Nutrition Action Against Malnutrition (INAAM) Project. 1. Piloted the use of Ready-to Use therapeutic foods (Plumpy Nut) in the rehabilitation of over 5,000 undernourished children at both the facility (Nutrition Rehabilitation Centers) and in 108 communities for the community-based management of child under nutrition. INAAM contributed experience, lessons learned and best practices as well as guidelines and tools to inform the development of CMAM (Community-based management of acute malnutrition) Project currently implemented by Ghana Health Services2. Piloted the use of Positive Deviance/Hearth strategy in the prevention, management/rehabilitation of child under nutrition at the community level. The first successful large scale implementation of PD/Hearth strategy in Ghana September 2007 – December 2008 – In addition to the coordination of INAAM, I supervised 8 program officers to implement a USAID funded Food Assisted Child Survival (FACS) Program in 212 communities across 10 districts as well as 18 Focus Nutrition Rehabilitation Centers of the Upper East, Upper West and Northern Regions of Ghana.
