Highlights include:Served five years as the Director of the Staples Sustainable Innovation Lab within GIS providing technical direction and oversight on over twenty (20) sustainability focused research projects.Principle investigator (PI) or co-PI on over fifty (50) industrial support research projects. Life cycle professional, authoring and co-authoring over ten (10) peer reviewed life cycle assessments, and serving on third-party review panels, both as a reviewer and as the panel chair. LCAs primarily focused on design and EOL treatments to minimize product environmental footprint.Project manager and contractor technical representative working with a 16 person team on an 18-month, multi-million dollar DoD modernization research effort.Technical project manager responsible for the development of the Technology Roadmap for Remanufacturing in the Circular Economy (2017) sponsored by the USDOC and NIST. Responsibilities included providing extensive industry analysis to look at pre-competitive research opportunities across 12 industry sectors. Led the investigation of the impacts that E20 ethanol blends had on a fleet of over 350 vehicles. Identified and assessed issues with fuel, vehicles, and infrastructure that potentially impact the technology readiness and therefore the introduction and proliferation of mid-level blend ethanol fuel. Assessments included vehicle emissions degradation with use, maintenance, durability and reliability, fuel economy and total cost of ownership, and vehicle performance. Developed new maintenance procedures to extend the life of a military vehicle as a reliability centered maintenance (RCM) facilitator. Assisted U.S. Marines with identifying field failure modes, and analyzed historic failure data. Calculated the failure frequency, consequence, and detection level and prioritized the vehicle maintenance using the RPN. Used the results to determine the appropriate maintenance procedures and period. Show less
