  Working predominately as the lead designer and client liaison for one of the UK's largest housing developers, I was responsible for the design of building services systems for the national house type portfolio.The role involved the production of detailed designs for heating and domestic hot and cold water services, which incorporated mechanical specification, heatloss calculations, emitter schedules, pipe runs and sizes in accordance with the building regulations, CIBSE guidance and the NHBC recommendations. With the implementation of the Code for Sustainable Homes I gained knowledge of solar thermal, heat pumps and heat interface units and an interest in low/zero carbon technologies. Show less
