I directed the salvage, removal, identification and cataloging project of the extensive core collection in danger of being lost due to neglect and age; removed the collection to a safer location away from the active mining area; located and remarked old grid lines; extended outdated grid lines to cover areas of immediate interest. I was responsible for splitting core, general assistance to the project geologist, organisation of equipment and materials. I assisted in an extensive survey program producing a digital map database of stockpiles and areas of immediate interest; reorganised and stored recent core acquisition; developed, organised and conducted program for processing core produced by the drilling program. I located four prehistoric archaeological sites and assisted in the location of seven archaeological and one historic site.       • Project Management - I led the successful completion of projects such as: regulatory approval applications for oil sands in situ and mining projects, regulatory compliance programs, and several engineering design and construction earthworks projects. My regulatory compliance program experience includes leading a comprehensive, multi-year, multi-discipline, environmental regulatory compliance and monitoring program for a sour gas facility, including numerous pipelines. My development application and operating approval renewal projects regularly included providing support for internal and external stakeholders.•Communication - My experience includes writing strategy-briefing documents and presenting strategy positions to clients and senior managers. I provided support and leadership during the development of operational guidelines and procedures. Stakeholder consultation included meeting with, and responding to First Nations comments and concerns.• Analysis and Advice - During regulatory action proceedings, I conducted or led the research and analysis of technical and regulatory documentation to provide strategic advice, and a basis to negotiate mitigation actions acceptable to the regulator. • Health and Safety - I led the development or modification, as needed, of Health and Safety (H&S) programs required to meet legislation and client requirements. Keeping up to date on changes in H&S legislation and regulation was essential to ensuring project H&S programs remained compliant. Developing and maintaining site-specific Emergency Response Plans was a regular activity of my H&S leadership responsibilities. My role included leading and conducting investigations of H&S incidents, and regulatory compliance incidents; providing causal analyses and response recommendations to senior management and clients. Show less • Archaeology - I assisted in all aspects of Heritage Resource Impact Assessments, including working with Aboriginal partners in First Nations communities and territories. As a specialist in applying Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to archaeological problems, I developed site location predictive models for forested environments.• Geomatics – I have years of experience creating environmental thematic atlases and alignment sheets for the Alaska Gas Producers Pipeline Project, and the Mackenzie Gas (pipeline) Project. I also provided support for GIS-based business planning projects, and developed and maintained several spatial databases for clients, and for internal use.• Health and Safety - My experience included acting as the Group H&S Coordinator, helping to develop and implement the corporate H&S program. My H&S Coordinator role included leading and supporting incident investigations. I acted as the group expert on H&S legislation and regulation; keeping up to date on legislation and regulatory changes. • Analysis and Advice - My other work consisted of in-depth research and analysis of historic documentation and data to provide an accurate picture of the current status of historic resources, for appropriate mitigation strategy proposals to the regulator, clients, and senior staff.
