    • AMBER S.A. (a subsidiary of the HERACLES General Cement Company- a member of the Lafarge Group)

      Oct 1990 - Sept 1993
      R&D Engineer

Developed software tools using C/C++ and MATLAB for the design and simulation of fuzzy logic controllers, self-organising fuzzy controllers and neuro-fuzzy controllers for the HERACLES Cement plants: for real-time control of rotary kilns, precalciners and klinker coolers in the cement industry.

    • SYNDESIS Ltd

      May 1997 - Jun 1998
      Senior Engineer

Responsible for the design and development of automotive control applications for a CORE 2000 EU project. I used FLDE, a high level CASE tool for developing complex embedded control applications, and MATLAB. FLDE produces ready to compile C code for various target hardware architectures from natural language specifications of the behaviour of the controller. I developed an embedded fuzzy logic idle speed controller for use in Citroen Xantia. Participated in project meetings in Greece and France, and tested the fuzzy controller under real operating conditions atSAGEM research centre (www.sagem.com), Paris. Show less
