      In my role as a cross-institutional Learning Technologist I lead on the enhancement of educational practice and learner experience through effective use of digital technologies. I lead on strategic projects implementing and enhancing the Institution's Digital Learning Environment, specialising in cultural change. Lead educational development programmes that enable academic to enhance their practices. Support departments and practioners with the educational design of academic programmes. Section Editor of the Institution's Journal of Learning and Teaching in Higher Education. The role requires a balanced knowledge of the latest develops in Learning Technologies alongside pedagogy and learning theory. The ability to communicate on levels is vital; strategically with senior decision makers, technically with suppliers, practically with educators and passionately with students. This role involved supporting the research and assisting with the implementation of research into practice. Main projects I worked on included: IMPALA (Informal Mobile Podcasting And Learning Adaptation), ADELIE (Advanced Design for E-Learning: Institutional Embedding) and GECKO (Greening of Elearning ChecK Out).
