  My role at RSM was highly varied and allowed me to utilise my strong technical accounting knowledge and ability to build professional relationships. The role was primarily based around the preparation of statutory financial statements for large corporate, audited entities and groups under various reporting standards including FRS 102, FRS 101 and IFRS. In addition to this I also prepared statutory accounts and corporation tax returns for SME's as well as preparing accounts and personal tax returns for sole traders. Other work included processing quarterly management accounts, monthly bookkeeping, P11D's and VAT returns. During my time at RSM I also undertook 3 client secondments which involved preparation of company only statutory accounts and consolidated financial statements including complex group structures, assistance with a group rationalisation project and also high level work on the implementation and understanding of changes in IFRS accounting standards.
