      RepresentEd is a leadership and professional development program that trains students in human centered design and gives them the opportunity for practical application through connection with community organizations.Through this fellowship, my team and I executed consulting work with the East Oakland Collective (EOC), a local non-profit that seeks to empower its community through multiple economic and civic engagement programs, and gain insight on their organizational practices so we could utilize our human centered design training to help them better reach their goals.As part of this team process, I conducted participatory and observational field research of EOC's events and practices, and conducted interviews with organizational leads to gain insight into their practices. This fellowship experience culminated in the RepresentEd Symposium, in which my team and I presented our process, work, findings, and suggested solutions for the organization, and symposium attendees.
