  EGA’s Jebel Ali power plant has 23 Gas Turbines including GT 13E2 from Alstom , GE frame 9E , Frame 9B, Frame 5 and seven steam turbines with a total generating capacity of 2,350 megawatts.Jebel Ali site also has a desalination plant with a capacity of 30 million gallons (136,000 cubic metres) of water per day, meeting both water needs and supplying external water customers. Roles and Responsibilities :Responsible for High Voltage and Low Voltage switching and ensure release of plant through issuing of safety documents to maintenance.Interact with Potline supervisor for power reduction and rectifier isolation on HV, LV and Plant Outage.Identifies problem area of plant and equipment, diagnose fault and take corrective actions to minimize production losses arising from Plant Outage.Support Sr. Manager in initiating power shutdown as required and also ensure power restoration activities with minimum disruption in the event of emergency.Support the Sr. Manager to ensure the correct power flows, power flow simulation studies, fault level calculations and coordination with control room staff and handling of high voltage equipment abnormalities.Ensure all shift staffs are trained across the operational area to carry out all duties in safe and effective manner.
