      Activities and Societies: IEEE, BU Events Club, BACSAP As a student at Bahria University Islamabad, I tried keeping a balance between curricular and extra curricular activities. Given my interest and inclination towards CS and IT, I stayed in touch with this domain by working part time on different freelance projects and content writing. During one of the events that I was organizing from the platform of IEEE, at my university I invited 39 universities nationwide and only 8 showed up. Realizing the evident communication gap, and with the help of some seniors, I spent few months in gathering contact details of all the representatives of… Show more Back in 2012, there were only about 35 - 40 student chapters (we stand strong at around 100, today) at university level of IEEE all over the country with little or no coordination in between. During one of the events that I was organizing from the platform of IEEE, at my university I invited 39 universities nationwide and only 8 showed up. Realizing the evident communication gap, and with the help of some seniors, I spent few months in gathering contact details of all the representatives of these chapters and created a Facebook group to gather them all at one place, in an effort to push them further, breaking their communication barrier. The group started with 10-20 people and we have now grown to over 1700+ members. The group is now being used as the foremost and official communication channel between 90+ student chapters in Paksitan and has helped many universities find the right resources for their technical and non-technical activities.
