      Sales Engineer.2001-2004Accountable to develop and manage reseller business for both fuel and lubricants with over 10 major accounts in the whole of Tanzania.Additionally: Working with small businesses (garages, workshops, oil and spare shops), lubricants distributors and commercial road transport companies. Fully responsible for customer service, technical and products knowledge & application, credit management and collections.Key Account Manager/Marketing Implementer. 2005-2009Fully responsible for marketing activities, design, planning and implementation which include successful Daladala promotion and Rimula promotion among others. Successfully designed, organized and managed the customer loyalty schemes in a very competitive market.I was appointed the double roles of Field Based Account Manager and Marketing Implementer for Shell Tanzania’s Mining and Non-Mining business. Responsible for maintaining construction, reseller, power and commercial road transport accounts in areas like Customer Relationship Management, give technical supports and sales calls visits. The overall Shell market share was 12% (2009) from 0% in 1999 generating C3 gross margins of approximately USD1.5m. Successful prospecting and winning of Wartsila power generating company (Ubungo Plant) which consumes 60,000 liters of Shell Mysella lubricant per month. Established the proper distribution network for premium Shell lubricants in Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Mwanza and Iringa. The work involves management of daily operations and the push of customs documents in a process flow that needs to be integrated together for efficient and fast issuing of tax liabilities documents, border crossing confirmation, tracking of liquid cargo transporters movement and design of reporting system for the cleared cargo information. At the end of the project, the company achieved a successful introduction of the reporting platform for improved performance reporting accuracy, reliability and turn-around time of the trucks and provided greater reporting flexibility and drill-down capabilities, giving the firm a competitive advantage in its technology platform to help bring in new businesses in the future.I also ran the sales & operations department for CRC in which I had to ensure the transport KPIs are met. The key performance indicators had to be measured and achieved on turnaround times for both local and transit trucks, incident minimization, fuel utilization, and minimization of trucks' downtime which together contributed to the success of financial KPIs.
