      Responsible for all aspects of lifting operations and associated safe systems of work across site including planning, erecting, dismantling and testing of tower cranes (fixed and railed) incorporating anti - collision systems, appointment, training and assessment of lifting team staff, planning, acquisition of equipment, preparing all related documentation/drawings and supervising all standard, heavy and complex lifts and managing the entire lifting team, firstly on the Sheraton Park Project in Doha and currently now on the LRT project in Lusail.       Lifting Operations Manager (Appointed Person)

      Progressing from my previous role with QDVC here in Qatar, Gold line Metro is also a prestigious part of the developing Qatar Metro rail network currently ongoing in and around Doha. I am currently managing all lifting operations on this project, 30km in length and comprising of 11 underground stations. The project currently has over 35 tower cranes in total, with around 30 mobile cranes providing support and a lifting team of over 500 staff. As in my last position, managing all aspects of the lifting activities, planning complex and heavy lifts, supervising and training project wide. I have also been heavily involved with lifting staff recruitment on this project, I was recently sent to Bangladesh to recruit 200 riggers and 5 Lifting Supervisors. Show less

      Project Lifting Manager/Appointed Person

      Appointed for the role at the very start of this World Cup 2022 stadium project, the stadium is constructed totally from steel and shipping containers and is fully demountable, the first of its kind in the world. Involved in the planning and scheduling of lifting equipment coming to the project along with acquisition and training of Lifting Team staff, currently at around 200 personnel. Setting up databases and registry for all lifting equipment, gears and staff, producing lifting documents, procedures and Method Statements & Risk Assessments. Project equipment is currently running at 10 heavy crawler cranes from 135te up to 650te for loads up to 200te, 12 saddle jib tower cranes, 2 SPMTs and a support fleet of around 20 mobile cranes ranging from 50te up to 200te. Lifting operations on this project conform to QP (Qatar Petroleum) Regulations. Completed safe erection of 30,000te of steel and containers. Show less
