      Following on from my successful undergraduate studies I completed an additional Honours year. The body of work I produced was well received, earning a first class Honours grade, being curated into several exhibitions during the year and an extensive calendar of exhibitions both nationally in Australia and as part of the 'Five ways of working' exhibition in Nagoya, Japan, where I attended as a representative of Australia.       Mandylights designed the lighting and video for the Backstreet Boys world tour starting in China. I was engaged by Mandylights as Production Rigger for the tour as all production was supplied locally at each city and I travelled several days in front of the main crew to set up the ground support systems and lighting rigs.

    • Awarded to Andrew Hasler
      Mikimoto International Young Designer Award Mikimoto America Nov 2000 This was an International design competition issued by Mikimoto to all design Universities and colleges around the world for innovative designs in pearl jewellery. There were 10 winners chosen and along with the prize money, Mikimoto paid for each piece to be made. My design was a set of entre sized cutlery made entirely from pearls and worn as a broach, entitled 'Dinners on Me'.
