Hired and trained a team of 30+ staff and set up all business operations and systems allowing the Lodge to be independently run and profitable with minimal Director supervision. Led community outreach and worked closely with local community to develop sustainable coffee farming operations and ecotourism offers.

  Led Nalubale Rafting from a small operation to become the number 1 rafting company in Uganda serving 1500+ clients per year. Doubled turnover to 200,000 USD/Year and managed all aspects of the business from daily operations, finance, HR and training to designing and implementing systems and strategies for growth. Developed and implemented a social media and marketing strategy resulting in being ranked No 1 on Trip Advisor for the past 6 years and over 12,000 followers. Grew team from less than 10 to 25 staff and trained team to being fully Ugandan led with the highest international qualifications including adherence to BS8848 safety standards. Show less

  Founded a hiking and mountain biking expedition company, primarily running high-end adventures in Eastern Uganda. Developed and implemented an industry leading safety management plan conforming to British Standard BS8848. Pioneered Mountain Bike routes and itineraries on Mt Elgon. Developed unique products and successfully marketed and sold these to international partners. Organised and successfully ran the ‘Elgon Enduro’ two day MTB race.
