      English and Chinese teacher

Teach Chinese and English.Positively impacted the Vietnamese society by teaching 60 children in two Vietnamese public secondary schools English language skills and cultural awareness.Created the syllabus from scratch so as to give children an insight on the outer world - we looked into world's countries, cultures, and traditions. I incorporated into my sessions different interactive games, acting performances and competitions to keep the children engaged while also gaining knowledge.Managed and tracked a team of three assistants who were supporting my project by translating for children, their parents or the school's principal.Coordinated a local summer English competition and contributed to a greater exposure of the English language in the local community of Da Nang. Marketing Manager

INews Media is a Bristol-based consultancy firm, providing bespoke consultation services for Chinese clients looking to establish themselves in the UK, across a range of sectors including education, real estate, and tourism.I worked as marketing and event manager for the company's 2017 Summer Youth Exchange Programme, organising summer trips for Chinese students aged 12-17. I communicated with potential Chinese partners to learn their expectations, planned a two-week itinerary for each of three groups and coordinated with local event organisers and schools. I also provided translation and interpretation using Mandarin and English throughout the programme.Working directly with the director and our outreach manager, I ensured each student group arrived safely in the UK, had a positive experience whilst here and returned to China in good spirits. I attended events with the students and staff, bridging the gap between students and event providers to ensure things went smoothly and arranging extra activities based on the students' ideas. I also planned and carried out a daily social media campaign, providing updates on WeChat, Sina Weibo and Facebook. The culmination of the summer exchange programme was an Art and Cultural Exhibition at Senate House, University of London. The event was attended by Chinese Schools from Anhui and Shandong Provinces, and by British schools from across the country. There were 120 participants in total on the day. I served as the moderator of the event and the chief event planner. My job included sending invitations to schools, decorating the exhibition and directing the tech support.
