The program provided me with a foundation in security and a core of homeland security-related courses, along with general education requirements. I had the opportunity to customize my degree program with specialized tracks in areas such as emergency management, terrorism studies, forensic accounting, military science, international history, global conflict studies, and cybersecurity. The curriculum for the program was based on outcome-based methodology and input from practicing professionals, military and government experts, and analysis of marketplace needs. It taught me how to conduct strategic planning, build continuity plans, and design and evaluate exercises for emergency response to disasters. I believe that my education and training have equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the homeland security field. Show less
