  The Greater Manchester Pension Fund (GMPF) is a UK local government pension scheme with assets in excess of £23bn. The Private Markets investments team is responsible for approximately £1bn of commitments per annum. As a member of the Private Markets investments team I was responsible for evaluating private equity, infrastructure and other alternative investment opportunities relating to private markets and to make appropriate recommendations for investment. As a member of the Public Market investments team, I was responsible for helping the team maximise the returns from our public market investments. Specific duties included: - Implementing asset allocations changes within the defined investment strategy;- Support the monitoring, reporting and contract management of fund managers; - Preparing reports and presenting to formal working group meetings.
