EMC is a leading business computing infrastructure supplier of products in Networking, security, storage and virtualisation. As part of the leadership team for EMEA I developed the business and ran the operations side of training across the region. I built the education business principally through supporting, directing and training the EMC field sales teams and the partner field sales teams. I regularly presented the education strategy to all other EMC teams such as consulting, sales, pre-sales and support teams.I acted as a technical education consultant to the larger customer and partner accounts. My own education operations team carried out all training operations in support of the business and under my direction and guidance. This position required strategic understanding of the EMC core business and technologies, training skills, people management skills and business development skills. This function was home based with partner, customer, and EMC site visits across EMEA. Show less I managed the sales of EMC training across the region of the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. The objective was to direct and encourage the EMC field sales teams to sell more training. This function required international partner, customer, and EMC site visits so that I could act in a consulting role with regard to the training part of the EMC business. I regularly presented the EMC education sales strategy at various internal and external (both partner and customer) meetings. I had the support of my own local team members and formed a part of the EMC Benelux management team.I achieved considerable increase in sales (142% in 3 years) and under my leadership Benelux became the number two location for customer training delivery in the EMEA region.
