The new automation allowed Wachovia Securities to receive interest and redemption information prior to payment. As a result, the new process increased customer service levels and reduced firm risk, by eliminating inefficiencies in the exception processing of approximately $70 to $100 million worth of client funds on a daily basis. • Created a phone log tracking database for the Clearing Correspondent conversions operational response team. The tracking database has improved service to clients by providing a proactive method of identifying service issues. Call metric reports were created for all levels of management. • Scheduled and coordinated workflow meetings between the Dividend and Physical Securities department to eliminate inefficiencies and mitigate risk in the processing of bearer bond coupons.
