      Planning, management, delivery and evaluation of a variety of local nutrition and physical activity related health promotion programmes. The role entailed extensive inter-agency collaboration and innovation in developing and leading health promotion interventions aimed at achieving national and local health related targets. Examples include “New Image”, a women’s health project, a GP referral scheme for diet and exercise advice, awareness of folic acid and osteoporosis, child nutrition policy and work with ethnic minority groups. The “New Image” project received national recognition. This post provided an excellent opportunity for developing good communication and team-working skills and expertise in facilitating short training courses, and in the production of health promotion and educational resources. She also teaches general Nutrition at Level 5, and supports nutrition students with their applied nutrition projects and final year dissertations.
