      Survey Technician

In addition to vacation work I also work for Savage Surveying in Canning vale as a Survey technician. Since returning from the mines I've invested more time in the office to better develop my understanding of digital subdivision design. Savage Surveying specialises in subdivisions around the metro area and northern WA. Using Leica, Topcon, and Sokkia equipment running Carlson survey software I’ve conducted engineering set outs, feature surveys, level traverses and AsCon surveys.

    • Newmont Mining Corporation

      Nov 2012 - Jan 2013
      Vacation Student Surveyor

Over the 2012/2013 summer I worked as a Vacation Student Surveyor for Newmont on the NEV surface operations in Boddington. I thank all of the staff at NBG for investing their time in helping develop my skills especially the Survey crew for taking me under their wing and mentoring me. I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge from the team in Boddington. Using Maptek Scanners and Trimble GPS equipment I’ve assisted earthworks set outs, drill and blast set outs, ore mark ups, misfire set outs, TBM placement, stockpile pick-ups and various other tasks.
