As an engineering intern I worked in the Propulsion and Power Systems Department (Code933). This department focuses mainly on internal combustion, gas turbine engines, and power distribution.Created a detailed work scope to remove and re-locate the water system chiller for the Low Pressure Air dehydrator used for the U.S. Navy DDG-51 guided missile destroyer test site.Performed valve identification throughout the flow control network systems of the entire test site, including: oil lubrication, fuel, starter air, seawater, CO2 firefighting, and water brake systems.Reverse engineered, sourced, and purchased a waste oil tank to be replaced due to corrosion. Created a work scope to drain the oil lubrication and purification systems of the test site. Show less
